Discover a Range of Nutsert Tools Tailored to Your Needs
At RivetLab, we stock various Rivnut tools that cater to different needs.
For those on a tight budget, we have the single-sized FAR KJ15 hand nutsert tool. Professionals can choose the POP® PNT110 rivnut tool or the Gesipa® GBM10 hand nutsert tool kit. Both tools have a reputation for quality. They are great for on-site work or low-production tasks.
Our best-selling RivetLab RT-512 kit easily installs rivet nuts up to M12 in all materials. This makes it a great choice for volume installers who prefer manual rivnut tools.
In addition to manual options, we stock the Gesipa® range of cordless nutsert guns and spare parts. These battery-powered tools, made in Germany, offer excellent flexibility for on-site production. The stroke version of the Gesipa Firebird Pro Gold cordless nutsert gun is the only one that can install M12 stainless steel nutserts.
For heavy-duty tasks, our air nutsert guns are the ideal choice. Models like the RivetLab RT-X12-P and the FAR KJ45S utilise pneumatic power, making them perfect for industrial applications.
Can I use a regular pop rivet gun for rivet nuts?
No. Although both tools use a pulling action for installation, a rivet nut tool works differently than a pop rivet gun. You will need to purchase a suitable rivnut tool to install rivnuts.
How to use a rivnut tool?
The installation steps are as follows:
- Wind the rivnut onto the thread of a rivnut tool
- Insert the rivnut into a pre-drilled hole
- The tool's mandrel connects to the threaded part of the rivnut. It crimps the rivnut body, which has no thread. This happens with a pulling action. The body grips tightly against the material being fastened.
- The pulling mechanism returns to the starting position after setting.
- Unwind the rivnut
What are the things to consider when buying a nutsert tool?
Nutsert tools have different setting capacities. The nutserts you are installing should be in the capacity range. (Always use the correct size mandrel and nose piece of the nutsert tool to install nutserts.)
You should also consider whether you need a power or a hand tool. Consider the type of material you are using. Most importantly, focus on ease of use and safety. For further information, read this blog: All You Need to Know About Rivet Nuts and Rivet Nut Tools.
Our rivnut tools have a 12-month warranty. Gesipa® manual, battery-powered, and air hydraulic tools have a 24-month warranty, and batteries have a 6-month warranty.
This reassures customers about the support and replacement parts available. For further warranty information, visit the Terms of Service page.
