Huck® Bolts are Huck® branded lock bolts. They are one of the most popular lock bolts manufactured by Howmet® Fastening Systems. Huck bolts are heavy-duty fasteners designed to provide strong and secure joints. They consist of two main components: the pin and the collar. The pin features a threaded end and a grooved shank. The collar has an internal lock groove that engages with the grooves on the pin.
The installation process of huck bolts is straightforward. First, a hole is drilled through the materials to be joined. The pin is inserted through the hole, and the collar is placed over the pin’s threaded end. Using a huck bolt gun, the pin is pulled, drawing the collar into the joint. As the pin is pulled, the collar is swaged or deformed, creating a permanent and vibration-resistant connection.
